What health issues are important for Third World
women?
Women in Third World countries suffer from a variety of health
issues. Some issues such as HIV/AIDS are similar to those dealt with
in many other countries. Other issues such as gender apartheid
are seen as primarily affecting Third World women.
For each health issue, the links below offer a description of
the health issue, and an analysis of how it especially affects Third
World women.

Of course, these are not all the health issues that affect
women in the Third World. These are just a selection of the health issues that could be covered. Other pages could cover: reproductive health, environmental health, nutrition, son preference, and honor killings.
